C.B.S. always takes responsibility for Health and Safety seriously.
We understand that to be successful in business, it is key to ensure that Healthy and Safe working practices are part of the everyday activities of the business.
In recent years managing the Health, Safety and Welfare of our employees, fellow workers and the general public has become a large part of our operational duties on all projects. With constant regulation changes and new EU directives it benefits us to keep a close eye on our work activities.
To ensure that C.B.S. remains abreast of these changes, we are constantly reviewing our systems, consulting and communicating with our staff and clients to provide the latest information and training.
Over the years, our approach has meant that our reportable accident rate has continued to be very low in an industry that traditionally has a high rate of incidents. More importantly, our clients and employees are happier, and we have frequently won awards on our projects, both for our Health & Safety and Environmental performance.
C.B.S. has, in the last year committed over £10,000 to the Health and Safety training of its employees and currently has 100% of its workforce with CSCS/ ECS skills cards and all managers have either SMSTS, SSSTS or IOSH training.
We have been successful when gaining national accreditation in schemes such as SAFE contractor, CHAS, Constructionline and Achilles.
We are currently in the process of seeking ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 accreditation from BSI for Environmental and Health and Safety Management and also upgrading our quality procedures to ISO 9001:2008, again through BSI.
C.B.S. continues to remain committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of our employees and any persons affected by our activities.
